Cal Poly Pomona Urban Agriculture student Rachel Cameron and Sustainable City are hosting a discussion tomorrow afternoon about backyard chickens and ducks in Whittier, California.
While Whittier charges nearly $3,000 and a 3-month process to get a conditional use permit for poultry, other nearby cities have poultry ordinances that allow backyard hens, ducks, and rabbits with an easy permitting process and low or no fees. This meeting is the first step in exploring how to get a better ordinance in Whittier.
The meeting is open to all. Details can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/717110235357764/?active_tab=discussion
