What kind of worm is this?
I had a broken egg sitting in the fridge and then I was getting ready to feed it to the chickens and then I saw it. It was moving. Just want to know what it is so when I get the wormer it actually kills it.

I dont know what kind of worm it is. It is NOT a worm that a chicken gets internally. Besides, since you stated that it was moving, internal parasites CANNOT survive outside their host.

Well both flukes, intestinal worms like tapeworms can in fact live for a while outside of a body and be moving while outside of the body until they dry up and die or get eaten.

lol Stop it stop it!!! My daughter and I live with my mother and she's already super grossed out about eating eggs from our chicks. She says she prefers to not know where her food comes from. I think I might be mean and show her this post

I called the vet last night and she said it most likely is a worm. I sent her pictures and she said she would look at them today.

Save yourself some money and buy some Valbazen liquid suspension. If it is a standard breed, give it .5 cc, and for a Bantam, give .25 cc. Then do it again in 10 days. Throw out the eggs for two weeks after the last dosage.
