worming with milk

I just had a old time chicken guy tell me they use to set out a gallon of milk and let it ? spelling ... get thick and like jello, then feed it to their dogs, and chickens to get rid of worms, anyone ever hear this before?

That is a crude way of making yogurt. I'm not sure it is effective on worms, but possibly beneficial in other ways.
