What is up with this bird?! I don’t think she’s laying. I gave her a warm bath and put her in a clean hospital coop. I cleaned the main coop all out - it was pretty bad from being frozen all winter and then the run flooded so we did some major cleaning. I started treatment for worms but I didn’t see anything glaring in her poop.

This could be either a fat pad/accumulation caused by unbalanced feed or it could be water belly (ascites).

When you touch her abdomen, is it swollen like a fluid filled balloon or rather hard?

How old is this hen?
How do her droppings look?
What exactly are you feeding?
What are you using for dewormer (dosage) and when did you start?

Abdomen not hard.
Not sure of her age honestly - maybe 2 or 3
Droppings are kinda large and very soft. Not formed.
They eat Purina Layena with oyster shells mixed in. Sometimes they get scraps for treats like leftover corn or crackers or rice. Also occasionally a little wild bird feed.
Dewormer - I’m putting a 100 milligram tablet of praziquantel into a gallon of water to dissolve and then pouring a quart of that into a separate water container for her. The other is split between 6 hens. Started yesterday. Also adding flock fixer to water.
