I have 6 13ish week old pullets who I feel have been losing feathers since around 5-6wks.
I've searched information multiple times after having little "their sick!!" freak outs, I've read posts where people have said the feather loss is just completely normal. I haven't made my own post yet so I figured I'd do it now and hopefully get some ideas that will calm me down lol
Some of the feathers are downy but maybe half or 1/3 of them are normal feathers. I think if I had been collecting the feathers this entire time I'd have enough to have a very nice pillow
They eat, sleep, act 100% normal. I'm going to check for mites and lice tomorrow as I need a 2nd person to help me hold them still. There are no bald spots on any of the birds and none of them pick on each other. They groom themselves like crazy, I feel like I have the most prissy chickens in the world
