Thank you in advance for any and all help! This is my first time raising chickens and I love my 3 girls so much but I can't help but worry over one of my 10 week old Barnevelder hens. Ever since we got her as a chick she had a habit of opening her mouth as if to make a noise but then closing it without doing anything. This has continued all this time up until today. Neither of my other hens do this. She eats just as much or more as tge other two, drinks normally, is active, I never hear any sort of weezing or coughing and she is the same weight as the other 2 as well. The only difference I seem to notice is that her shoulders might be slightly slumped and she will occasionally open her mouth.
Also it is important to note that this is not done extremely often, is not increasing in amount, and does not seem to be done in any kind of distress. It seems to bother me more than her. Am I worrying too much or am I catching the problem before it becomes too bad??
