Hello, I hope someone could help me? I have a Polish Pullet she lost her coop mate and lives alone because the rest of the flock would kill her. We have had her since she was a speck and has always held a special place with us. So I let her come in at night and she sleep in a basket with a blanket by our bed then in the morning. I take her out to her coop so she can play, peck, and eat. Shake out her blanket and throw it in the washer. We all love having her in the house at night but do you think it is causing her wheezing? The temperature change?

Thank you for your help!

Are there any other symptoms along with the wheezing? How long has she been like this? Wheezing could be caused by dusty bedding or high levels of ammonia. However, it may also be a respiratory disease. If it isn't too severe, its probably viral. I'd start giving her some electrolytes and probiotics, and keep her seperate from the other birds. If it gets worse, treat with antibiotics like Duramycin, Terramycin, or Tylan50.
