Would a Cockerel brood a chick?

My little BO (sex unknown) would nest on our newest chick. Is this a female chicken only trait or would a boy chicken do it too?

It's probably a pullet, then, though I think some have talked of cockerels sitting on nests.

My BO roo sits on the nest for limited times. I did a double take a few times then decided he wasn't hurting anything so we let him sit.
