I have been unable to find most of the suggested products for lice and mites since I live outside the US. These products are what I have found. Would any of them be suitable?

From my vet: https://www.drugs.com/vet/vet-kem-siphotrol-2000-premise-spray-can.html
It has .8% permethrin and .078% methoprene and meant as a premise spray

From Amazon.ca: https://www.amazon.ca/Farnam-Home-G...qid=1621730450&sprefix=bronco+,aps,623&sr=8-2
It has .1% permethrin and some other stuff but made for horses

Another product online: https://www.horsegearcanada.com/products/gh-power-shield
.5% permethrin, .1% pyrethrin and something else, also made for horses.

Thanks

Not an expert, but I would be concerned using something made for horses on a bird. Different systems, different intolerances, different concentrations.

Is any mite-treatment for parrots or other birds available? That's what we use over here.

Also, about the first link; "One can will treat a surface area of 185 square metres (2000 square feet). DO NOT TREAT PETS WITH THIS PRODUCT. For effective flea and tick control, pets should be treated with a registered flea and tick control product designed for use on pets"

Most of the recommendations from other members have been a horse spray, but I can't get the same one here in Canada that they do in the US.

Not having much luck finding treatment for other birds either. :he

That one would be for treating the coop, not the chickens. :)

What I used was Permethrin 10. It says it's for use on livestock: Cattle (Beef and Dairy), Goats, Sheep, Swine, Horses and Poultry. (It is also a dog flea and tick dip). There's a picture of a horse and cow on the label. I don't know about the other ingredients on what is available to you.. I did dilute it as well. It's 10% Permethrin.

Do you have a good local feed mill. They are often very helpful at least around here.

First Saturday Lime. Download the app. Or just Google. Also I have used from Amazon Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth. Amazon. Green and White bag. Humans can even drink in water to deworm. The first Saturday lime is easier on the skin I believe. I mix a third cup heaping to 50lbs of feed and deworm my girls. Check out you tube Becky's Homestead ask for how to deworm hens? She has tons vbv of advice.

If you can get cat flea/tick shampoo with permethrin that can make a dent. I've used Adams with good results. They need to sit there soapy for a bit- it won't kill them immediately. I do that and then spray with Elector PSP once they're about 1/2 the way dry.

Just be ready for the mites to crawl in a bunch of directions. Windex or rubbing alcohol kills them off very quickly - no - not for applying to the bird!!!! Just to your hands/arms/counter/sink ...

Can't you use Amazon?
