Would it hurt to put a piece of grainy bread in

Hi all, would it hurt to put a piece of grainy bread in with my 11 day old chicks. Or is there anything else I can give them apart from the crumble?

I'm sure they'd love a piece of bread! Just make sure you give them some grit as well. Coarse sand sprinkled over their food will do. Here's some other treats you can give:
