I bought some Sex Link and Australorp chicks from Atwood's on Memorial Day. The bin was labeled with these two breeds.
The next bin held white turkeys. The bin beside that one held RIRs. There were no other chicks that day. In with the Australorps and Sex Links was this cute little chocolate brown. The cheeks are a little fluffy. I bought it because it was the only one and no one at Atwood's could tell what it was. They checked the bins and labels several times. They put him in with the RIRs and then removed him saying he wasn't a RIR either. He is almost a brindle brown and they were red. He stood out like a sore thumb. They had about 4 people try to tell what it was but no one knew. I finally said, "it's just a chicky, I'll take him home and try to figure out what it is". I didn't want them to waste anymore time since they were very busy on Memorial Day. I thought maybe it was a Sex Link but they insisted it wasn't.
So I've been looking online but I really can't find any that look like him. Sure is a cutie though!
