I was just about to order some red leg rings when I remembered about how chickens love to peck at anyone with scabs or cuts or scrapes. So if they go pecky mad at the sight of blood, would RED leg rings not be a really bad idea? I like to use different colours on my different breeds and ages of hens to keep a track of everybody and to sort out mine from my neighbours' (they all free-range together) and I've already got orange, yellow, green, white and pink. Running out of different colours to use! Having second thoughts about the red ones now.
