Would you pay $125 for this?

Every chance I would do $125.00 on the cage. Depends on seeing
the cage in person, and my immediate need.

Can I build it for less myself? Probably. But that wasn't exactly the
question.

Tried figuring a material list. Either I'm wrong, or there was an unacceptable
amount of waste in the 4x8 plywood. I see no seams in the plywood. Is there
three sheets of 4x8 plywood used in construction? Plus whatever material in the
edges, hinges, screen.

If I was a betting man, I'd say there was more than $60.00 in material. Seems a
local common rule of thumb is labor is equal to cost of materials in home repair.

$60.00 x 2 = $120.00 ... So yes, I'd say a reasonable price.

Curious...How many hours of labor would you guess to be involved? I'm only allowing
$60.00 so there can't be many. Four hours would be $15.00 an hour.

Took 3 1/2 hours. It is trimmed out on the corners, so it took a bit longer to do. I had the frame in scrap wood=free. It cost $60 only because I had a few things laying around. 2 sheets of plywood. I had a few scraps of that too so did not have to get a 3rd sheet. I would have had a lagre ammount left over yes, but I would have used it for nest boxes or cage doors for the other cages I build. We waste nothing. Leftovers from one project goes into the next. I figured if I bought everything around $80, but folks know me and save wood for me. I rarely have to buy 2x4's. I could likely sell it for more, but I have made my money on it anyway without totally undervaluing my time. It was fun
