Would you pitch these eggs?

We lost a hen today (first one) and she was in a nest with 4 eggs. She was not broody-these eggs were laid today. For some reason I'm a bit squicked out about using eggs that had been sitting under a dead hen, even if for only a few hours. dh insists they are fine and to just wipe them down. What would you do?

I know that most chicken diseases such as Marek's can not be transfered to humans, but others like Salmonella can be...

Personally I would ditch them, give them to the dog or feed them back to the hens. Sorry about your poor hen
