Would you trade a turkey for a roo straight across? craigslist...

Depends on the breed of turkey and roo.... Normally I would say no, but if it's a show quality breed of something I was looking for I might consider it...

No, unless it's just a poult and the rooster is good quality. Around here you can't give roosters away let alone trade them for something with worth.

I think it depends on the person. I myself would kill to have a turkey! DH won't let me have one. He's so mean! I wanted 2... named thanksgiving dinner, and Christmas dinner!

I have more roos than I know what to do with.

It all depends on the value to you. If you own a turkey that you just need off your hands and the rooster is one you really want/need, then it might be a fair trade.

If sold outright on CL or a swap, the average turkey would probably bring $20-30, but the roo only $5-10. At auction on Friday, my nice CW roo went for only $3.50, but I saw Royal Palm turkeys go for $40 each.

LOL. That right there would make me not take it. Even if it was a rooster I wanted for some reason, sometimes roos get butchered (aggressive, throwing bad traits).
