My girl has a wound on her breast that has scab over and is red. It's not fever hot nor is there any smell or pus. But it does look like it's on the verge of becoming infected. What are some tips just incase it does turn for the wors.

That looks like a breast blister which can become calloused or turn into an abscess. It usually occurs when a chicken lies on wet or soiled ground, instead of roosting, or roosts on a rough surface or roost. It may be hard to prevent if they lie around a great deal. I would apply some Betadine or chlorhexidene 1-2 times a day on it to disinfect it. Hopefully it will dry out. Make sure the roost is smooth or padded, or that bedding is clean and dry. Does she have any trouble walking or has she been broody?

That makes sense to a point. At bed time she roosts on top of her chicken coop and it is real rough up there. Surprisingly this is the first time shes got it in 2 1/2 yrs. Other than that it's been real dry around where I live. She's not brooy and is all fine, still laying, other than this on her chest. I have started spraying antimicrobial spray 3× a day.
