Hello!
Unfortunately, my sweet silver laced wyandotte was attacked by the flock the night before last and has a pretty significant wound on her comb. She didn't have much of a comb to start with, but what was there had been half separated from her head. I didn't notice until it was light out yesterday morning. When I did, I took her in and put Veterycin on it and tried my best to clean it off. I have separated her from the flock and she is in the garage with her own little setup. I cleaned the wound three times yesterday and once so far today because I'm at work. When I left this morning, the comb was just like yesterday, looking really dark maroon in the injured places. My mom just sent me a picture and she now has a gigantic blood blister. I have posted the before and after photos! She's her normal chatty self.
Any tips for what to do next? Is this a normal part of the comb healing process? I want to heal her at home if possible!
Thanks for reading
