well, we have been having some trouble with our guinea fowl going over to our neighbours house all the time

and a few weeks ago i read somewhere (probably here) that you put mirrors around the place and they will stay near them.

well the other day we picked up a few at the dump and just leaned them against some trees and now they have just been hanging around the mirrors all day,
oh, i'm so glad it worked

That's very cool. We have a mirror for ours and they like it but I never thought of it as a keep-home device.

I wonder if they don't want to leave because the guineas in the mirror don't follow them...interesting.

Ha, I had a full length mirror in the garage I needed to throw out. Glad I read this. I stuck it by their coup and when they went out instead of hustling off to grasshopper land, they were all lined up looking at their reflection, picking at their reflection, and peeping at their reflection. Great entertainment.

Unfortunately, they also like thier reflections in car windows. I have one in the freezer now because of that. I didn't think of trying mirrors to keep him off my truck. The problem reached a breaking point when he got on my neighbors truck.

i have done this with my turkeys too growing up. they would at first ignore it then one day - bam!- they would stop and just stare!!
