Since a lot of new people will probably get ducks this spring, I'm sure there will be a lot of confusion as to what they should feed their ducks.

To help all the newcomers when they arrive, I wrote a short article on why the old practice of feeding ducks nothing but corn is not healthy for the ducks. I'd like input from everyone so I can update it with corrections or clarify my explanations. If there's interest, I'll reformat it so it can be posted on this forum.

cool...

When I first read your title I thought you were against all diets with corn! glad that wasn't the case. Good information presented in down to Earth manner that most everyone will understand. You would have passed feeds and feeding and other animal nutrition courses! I think we used very similiar examples when describing and then formulating horse and cow feeds...an animal can really only eat so much.

A good article! Its great information for those new to ducks and experienced breeders as alike. I posted a reply.

Thanks for pointing out the ambiguity in the title. I've update it from "all corn diets" to "corn-only diets"

This is really good work Duckfeeder!!
Who knew there was so much to be done in the world of duck activism, but you are doing it!
I actually would like to find a reliable feed without corn or soy, but that's not economically practical for me at least.
