WRY NECK??? HELP!!!

Does wry neck come on suddenly?? I have a chicken that I think has it, but it came on kinda suddenly. I don't know if I am fighting a losing battle or if there is really hope! My poor kids are having a tough time with this one though! If we do get her to recover, will she lay??? She is about 3 1/2 months old. Americana(SP?)
