4 days old chick can't control his neck movement for around 5 hours. He drank a little water. There seemed to be some improvement a hour ago but when I forcefully fed it liquid food with a dropper, he fell down and now sleeping like a dead chick. How to feed him vit E and other necessary food? Also will vitamin B help improve the situation?

Be careful when feeding with dropper it’s very easy to aspirate it, give it some sugar water or molasses water to perk up. Make a very wet mash out of crumbles try vitamin b complex 1/4 a pill ground up in water or feed. If it is a vitamin deficiency then most likely it will need vitamin e (vitamin e needs selenium to make it work try scramble egg with a tiny bit of applesauce mixed in) vitamin b complex. If you have poultry cell or nutri drench they have the vitamins it needs.

hope the little one makes I’m sorry your going through this.

I'm so relieved to see your post on this thread and some good advice to boot!
I'm new here so posted on the first window I saw at first. Thanks to everyone for helping out. I would have culled the chick if I didn't heard of wry neck. Now I can at least give a try to save him . Thanks to the awesome people of this community ❤️

We put lots of love in our babies whether hatching under a broody, incubating shipped eggs, or buying from a feed store. It's up to us to make sure they have everything they need in their life. I have raised chickens for 5 years and this is the first time I've had a chick with Wry Neck, Splay leg, Curled Toes, Not Eating or Drinking and finding the best ways to euthanize chicks under a week old. This cite/forum is the best decision to join I have every made and the people who help us to help our flocks are Knowledgeable and Kind Hearted and Thank Them from the bottom of my heart....

I see lots of posts in the Raising Baby Chicks thread for illness and injury. It's not a terrible thing unless they're not getting responses or don't get the help they really need. I had a chick with pasty butt/constipation issues so bad I was considering putting it down. Every time I google searched for ways to help I wound up on this site, that's why I joined! My chickie survived (after 2 enemas, smh) and is now 10 weeks old and going strong! I like to read other folks' posts because I get ideas for helping my chicks grow healthy and strong and sometimes I can help. :)
Good luck with your chickie.

He died taking two sips 🙁. Additionally another one died after eating and drinking a lot. He vomited the liquid and died within a couple of minutes
