Forewarnin..... i fuss and cuss so if it bothers you please don't read this post. Sorry. But i am kinda mad. 
Ok. Found a tom for the girls... but this poor creature! We ALMOST said no to takin him but just couldn't not bring him home. Probably are spinnin our wheels but we will try to be good to him. And see how it goes.
Back story to him... person said he was bein bullied by three other toms because he was the lowest in peckin order (he had no hens only the four toms). And holy hell by his poor feathers this wasn't just an oh the other birds are bein mean one time kinda thing AT ALL. They are growin back. He looks clean of mites and lice... no bugs or nits did i see. He has the runs... but from not eatin a proper diet? Or just stress? Dunno. In the truck he had two solid and one runny poop.
But when we saw him and the person saw him he said his neck wasn't doin THAT a few days ago... and my thought that almost came out my mouth was... you haven't checked on this bird in a few days?!?!!??!?!!! And on the heels of that really????! Anyhoo... we couldn't leave him there. So home he came. Stopped and got 24% chick crumbles for him for the extra protein, vit b12, vit e with selenium and probiotics, and nutri drench with dropper and elecrtolyte/probiotic powder to add to his water. Got home and settled in his quarrantine digs and loaded him up with all the stuff. He came out in the open for just a little bit and he felt good enough to try be a flyer at least. Tomorrow mornin when he gets dosed up his wings will get clipped also.
Can you all think of ANYTHING that we are not doin right for him right now? Or anything else we need do for him? I think what pisses me off so badly is that this man had ducks, peacocks, goats, donkeys, chickens, guineas and toms... all of his other animals looked healthy... why i hell did he wait so damn long to pull this bird from the others???? Jist makes hubby and i both FUME! His fowl barn was filthy but all the other animals homes were clean. What.in.the.hell.man. I just do not understand people.
