Wry neck

I have a 5 month silkie mix that has a bad case of wry neck. I brought him in and we've been having to feed him. I give him a food mash so he can get water also. I've also been giving him some Nutridrench. My question is. How much Vitamin e does he need daily? I don't want to overdose him. And, do I need to be doing something with his neck? Like, try and straighten it out? Massage it?

Wry neck is an involuntary twisting of the neck, and it will not help to try and straighten it out. Wry neck is a neurological symptom that cannbe caused by either a head injury, vitamin E or thiamine (B1) deficiency, and is seen in certain diseases including Mareks and others. Most use 400 IU of vitamin E softgel and 1/4 tablet of crushed vitamin B complex which has all of the B vitamins. Those are given daily.

Was he vaccinated for Mareks?
