I am looking to try and open a market for many of the feathers produced by Ornamental birds.
For now I am looking to put together as large a selection as I can motivate members to send me. I have a customer source for them and as I get requests for specific feathers i will post notices here for them as well as prices offered for them. Notice these feathers will not be used for fly tying so the selection is not limited to traditional fly tying feathers. delicate and pretty are the main factors for these. They will go into making writing pen. take a look at my page for more information regarding this.
I can pay postage for any feathers you can send and if you want any payment for the feathers themselves just let me know. I am not in a position to set prices on very many feathers at this time there are simply to many of them. i am not yet looking for quantities of any single feather type but I do need to have any feathers marked as to what type of bird they came from and what part of the bird. Neck, Saddle Breast Side etc. so that I can be prepared to make clear accurate offers in the future. I am also not looking for anyone to harm their birds. gathering feathers that your birds molt will be just fine.
