One of my pullets started laying three weeks ago, and then, bam, went broody. So I'd like to stick some eggs under her!

I've been thinking about getting Delawares, Sussex (any type), and New Hampshire Reds, so if there's anyone around here with those breeds, what a bonus. However, I'm really not all that picky and will take any good layer/dual purpose eggs--mutts, whatever. It's my first experience with a broody hen.

Happy to pay going rates, or trade eggs for handmade soap and/or lotion.

Know anyone that's going to be coming down to the Portand area any time soon? I have dual-purpose mixes (various layers x salmon faverolles rooster) also pure Salmon Faverolles (standards) and black bantam Ameraucanas.
