Our flock was slaughtered last fall by a person and after taking some months to grieve and amp up security, I am starting again. I have a bunch of chicks but we only have two laying hens right now which isn't enough. My husband is on my case to get some hens in here so we can stop buying eggs.

We are looking to buy 3-5 laying hens. No Bantams. Large egg layers only. These will be in our laying flock only and not be bred to any rooster. They also will never be eaten because we are vegetarian.

I will happily drive to pick them up within a two hour distance from us.

I have some I pmed you.
I have some started of every breed (blue Jersey Giants,BLRW,Olive Eggers,)but the Auburn Javas(just sold the last pullet of this age for sale & SLW. they where hatched 2/14 -2/16 so just a couple more months and they will be laying too.
