So i was candling my first broody who is due Tuesday (going to be an early hatch) and decided to check my second broody set on the 21st. To early to see veins in green and brown eggs. Anyways i noticed one of these 5day set eggs has a loose aircell. I suspect from nest sharing and egg eaters trying to steal the eggs. Note both issues have been resloved. None of the set eggs were eaten but one did get stolen and i wuickly recovered it, I'm not sue if its the same one with the loose air cell.

I know what to do if these where in an incubator... but this likely wouldn't have happened then as these are fresh laided by my hens. Should i just wait it out? Do i even need to worry?

I had this same problem with my current broodies. I had 4 eggs with detached air cells. Unfortunately, all of them stopped developing around day 15. I never was able to get a clear answer as to what to do so I'll definitely be following this thread for any advice for future hatching

Thank you, unfortunately it looks like no one has an answer. If it were more then just the 1 I would probably set up the incubator but she has 3 other eggs and I don't need any more chicks right now. I think hatches included I'm looking at over 50 chickens until I sort out the extra cockerels.
