I recently purchased a trio of Patridge Wyandotte Bantams. When you breed Patridge Wyandotte Bantams, do they breed true to color. How do you breed for Crele, Blue Red Lace, and Cuckoo. Would appreciate any information on breeding for these colors. Please keep it simple. I have tried to read articles about genetics and that of course was like reading a foreign language. I am a recently retired elementary teaching and I am excited about starting a breeding program with Wyandotte Bantams. I am planning to purchase some other colors but I need the basic information from some of you experienced breeders. All information will be appreciated. Remember keep it on an "elementary" level. lol Thanks, Papa Mel
I would post pictures of my Patridge Wyandotte Bantams but since I am still a New Egg that is not allowed.

Yes Partridge breeds true.

Blue Laced Red wyandotte bantams are a fairly common variety of wyandotte bantams and would be much easier to buy than try to remake, same with the Barred Wyandottes but they arent as easy to find.

And for a "Crele looking bird" ( as you need Red Duckwing ( BBRed) to make true Crele) But to get the basic Crele color, breed a Barred male on Partridge hens and those barred offspring pack to pure partridges and repeat for a few generations with the birds that are closest to the Partridge pattern and have barring breeding back to the pure partridge until you get the color right, the cross the "Creles" together to get hatch some lighter roos that have two copies of barring, and ones you have a roo with two copies and breed him with the hens, then your "creles" will breed true.
