Bought a supposed BLRW almost a week ago from TSC. Came home and didn't look right to me- black head, dark clean legs, gray on gray barring. Went back yesterday to see if maybe I had gotten the oddball that was mixed in, but they all look like mine, some with minimal brown in their wingfeathers. Store owner (who raises chickens and seems very knowledgeable) swears that's what BLRW look like. They are going to clearance them today, so tempted to get 1 more (my limit is 5 😔), but can't have a noisy, flighty breed.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

No, they don't look like that, but that doesn't mean it won't be a great chicken. Looks like a blue australorp maybe. The hoovers site might clue you in since that's were most tsc get their chicks. What type of comb does it have?

It has a single comb. I'm so torn, not bc I need a certain breed, but bc I'm limited to 5 total, and I want friendly/docile birds that get along with each other and tolerate my kids.
Thanks for your reply!

Why do you think only the wyandottes will be friendly? It's more about how the chick is raised than what the breed is for stuff like that. Chicken blogs tend blanket statement breeds when I know people who had silkies and buff orpingtons ("sweet, docile breeds") be absolutely monsters and people with ("flighty" ) leghorns and what not have friendly inquisitive Chickens. Chickens are individuals

Not specifically looking for Wyandotte's at all. Actually really wanted some blue Australorps, but travel got in the way. Just trying to play the odds and go with a less flighty breed that lays a decent amount of eggs, due to our location and limit of 5. My favorite chicken is a black sexlink- she is super sweet and cuddly, but at 4yo not laying anymore. Wanted heritage breeds this time around.
