Wyandotte help please

I have a Wyandotte hen, I thought. She never crowed until I removed the rooster in the coop. She/he doesn't crow all the time, mainly when she/he wants me to come out and feed it seems. I've heard this breed has a strong personality and wonder is it possible that this hen is crowing, or is she/he a late bloomer. Oh, I hatched her/him the last week of November. I can't have roosters,
I hope she is a she.
