Wyandotte x sussex

Hi I recently hatched this little one under our light sussex, it is either a buff laced wyandotte x light sussex or buff laced wyandotte x silver laced wyandotte, I've read on a thread that with some crosses boys will be light and girls dark would this work with these pairings? Pictures of the dad and the chick

That was a bit confusing, lol.
The chick is too young to sex, you'd have to repost in about 6 weeks
