So... it's an F1 blue laced red/RC RIR bred back to a pure blue laced red that produced those? This is precisely the reason I ordered some rose comb rhode island reds from frizzledhen. The lacing on the rooster is looking good. Breed him either to one of his sisters, or perhaps back to a pure blrw hen with decent color and excellent lacing. You're on your way to having some of the better looking blrw around....keep working on them.
I am raising my first backyard flock. They are just a month old now. Since some are Wyandootes I will post pictures here.
We have Amaricuanas, Rhode Island Reds, Gold and Silverlaced Wyandottes.
We started them out in our bathtub. This is one of the Silvelace Wyandottes.
This is one of the Wyandottes and the Americuana we call Stripes.
They outgrew the tub in no time and I quickly made a pen in a spare room. This is the one I call Georgia. She would always come visit me if I sat by the pen. But her red comb has me wondering if she might be a roo! Georgia was the first to fly up and perch on the edge of the pen. Good thing the outdoor pen is almost finished!
