y is hen tryin to kil babies at over 1 month old?

Found a chik.the other day its head had been pecked to the skull ..noticed today the other 2 chick was hiding behind nest an hen kept tryin to attack them when they ate ..i had to move her ..y is this happening its her first litter an r rhe chicks old enough to b on there on?

Yes they will be fine, but should be completely separated from her until they are older. If you use her as a broody again take the chicks from her before they are old enough to annoy her.
