I woke up this morning to loads of peeping from the incubator. I went to look and 7 baby quail hatched!! I cant remember what kind bantyman said they were, though they arent buttons,lol. I dont know if any more will hatch, I am just surprised and happy these did as its the first time I have successfully hatched quail. I tried with buttons last year but I was a beginner, knew practically nothing, and it didnt work out.
Its a good feeling.
Meanwhile I have upped the humidity on both incubators as I have hatches that should be starting this week.(Not the duck incubator, those arent due for around a couple weeks yet. Turkeys are in the same incubator as the chickens but arent due til around the same time as the ducks.So I will just go with it and see what happens.) Seems like every time I wait until the 18th day, they start hatching early! So lockdown on the one incubator and after the quail hatch is done, lockdown on that one too!
