Downsizing and getting back to country life after 9 years of the city.*shudder*
My three 'city chickens' are adapting well to their new coop, and we're waiting to 'release the Silkies' in a few weeks from the built in brooder. (Pics coming soon) I'm still concerned about integrating them.. it's been a while.
I wish I had just poked them under my almost always broody RIR hen when I first got them. Oh well. Too busy moving and building.
My next project: get more RIRs! My old girls are going to be lured into broodiness w/fake eggs, then I'll pick up hatching eggs, and in a month.. wa la.. babies! (It's been a while, so had to come to BYCs for brush up advice!
Love the site and I'm glad to finally see the rest of the country going chicken crazy at last. Saw this last month and nearly fainted!! lol.. Yuppies on the move!!

I'm also a dog behaviorist ... HOWEVER.. I am still working on my PitBull mix rescue dog, to be kind to smaller animals. *sigh* It's like the plumber with the leaky faucet.
She is completely PERFECT in every other way. (I'll keep you posted.)
Thanks for bein' here y'all!
