Hello all, so decided to fet my 7 year old daughter some chicks to raise and after searching we decided on bantam ameracaunas. Found a local guy that had chicks and picked em up. The chicks are now chickens and about 9 weeks old. Not sure what this guy was thinking but i ended up with two pretty little am. hens and 7 that im pretty sure are standard wynndottes. New to chickens so gonna see what you guys think. If im right in the types that i ended up with. Also we love the bantams but if our 4 roos are standards ill have to get rid of them correct?

Our only two bantam ameracaunas!

Looks like you got two cute bantam Easter Eggers and Silver Laced.
One rooster per 10 to 12 hens is a safe number to avoid too many problems.

The standard roos would probably hurt the bantam hens right?
I'm going to have to say yes, but many people keep mixed size flocks.
You won't actually if the rooster will until you try it.
Once the roosters hormones kick in your will know pretty quick.

Looks like 2 standard Silver Laced Wyandotte roosters and one hen- is the other a hen? If so it probably won't be difficult to rehome them as pairs or to trade for more bantams.

I have a leghorn cockerel, a bunch of standard pullets, 1 bantam cockerel, and a bantam pullet. The leghorn doesn't bother the bantam pullet, but the bantam cockerel does try to get on the standard pullets. It's quite amusing to watch. I suggest posting the birds you don't want on craigslist, or in your local paper, it worked for me to rehome my buff orpington cockerel.
