I just went out to feed all the critters and found a surprise
I have one broody hen that has been sitting and they were due this week. I always put her some food and water right at her nest so she can have food n water when she wants. She is one who won't hardly budge while sitting.....
I heard a chirp chirp!! I looked and there is one hatched ~~ I left them alone because we had an unexpected freeze last night and it is chilllllllly this morning. He looks to have just dried off.
Hoping more hatch!
My son got in there one day and I found 2 of her eggs scattered out on the coop floor so I didn't know if he had damaged any of the others.....
This is my second batch she has hatched for me since I got her. Last one was in the dead of winter and she hatched out 5 chicks. When I got her over a year ago, she had 2 week old chicks then with her.
I'm so excited....can you tell? LOL
