Year Old Coturnix Quail Seems Like She's Choking on something that isn't coming out.

I am a recent member and decided to use this because my female coturnix quail approx. a year old might have something going on. I see her jerking head head and neck as if she is choking on something. About 5 or 6 years back I had a male about the same age who did the same thing. This has been happening for the past week. If somebody knows what is going on please help. I would be very grateful.

Have you checked her mouth to see if there is a string present? That can cause the behaviour mentioned, but so can many other things.

Check for blockage .... It sounds to me like it is a common behavior though... If only I could remember why they do that
