Hey, so I am newer to chickens and I have never had one that has been sick or ill or had anything wrong with it and I noticed 12 week old Easter egg was losing tuft of feathers and she would squawk very loudly when I would pick her up. She has yellow gunk under her wing and losing feathers and yellow crusty stuff where her leg meets her body. Any idea what it is and how I can help. I separated her from the rest of the flock and checked them out and she’s the only one with it.

Do you have a rooster or cockerel?

Wound/bare area on the left flank is fairly consistent with injury from being mounted or mated. Possible she was injured some other way. The crusty material on the inside of the wing if probably transfer from the wound.
Clean the wound and under the wing very well with Chlorhexidine. Let that dry. Clean every day or 2X a day if necessary with the Chlorhexidine/swab it and let it dry. Under a wing is a warm moist environment, so I've found it's usually best to leave this type of wound to dry out versus applying an ointment to the wound. Do look at the wound daily, clean it and make sure there's no maggots.

For the leg, observe to see if she's picking at that area or if another bird is picking her. Swab and clean that with Chlorhexidine.
Do check very closely for lice and mites on her and the others.

I'd observe the leg for a couple of days to see if it begins to heal, if not, then apply some NuStock cream to the leg to see if that makes a difference.

What are you feeding them?
How many birds, ages of the birds and how much space do you have? (Sqft of coop and run).
