I have a saphire gem that is about 4 years old. I found her on the ground of the run yesterday and not perched on a roost with the others. I immediately picked her up to see what the trouble was and she had a yellow discharge from her vent. I immediately brought her in and did a Google search. I thought maybe a cracked internal
egg. I gave her an Epsom salt soak for 20 mins and a dose of nutri-drench. The prognosis for a situation like that isn't good
. She really perked up. I have her in my bathtub right now. Today I did the same and kept checking on her and I was thinking she may have a leg out of socket. Maybe she had a fall that broke the egg? Anyway... again today when I picked her up another yellow discharge that literally looks like an egg yolk. She is eating and is perky but she is not walking. Anyone have any experience like this?
