Had a visit from a person down the road from me who wanted to know how his family could get some chicks. "you're just in time ", says I. I've got 6 chicks that came as heaters last wk and you are welcome to them. Asked if he could chk out my coop and apprximate cost. I answered any questions he had and most importantly I gave him a good poultry sight to check out. Hmm, could it be www.backyardchickens.com? So now he has recruited his brother-inlaw to help him construct a coop and has a reference coop right up the road. I will be giving him 3-4 hens since he has young children and no experience I steered him away from roosters. Plus I sent him home with the complimentry Doz fresh eggs.
