Hello Everyone,

Well you all would be happy to know that my Silkie has started laying eggs again as well as 3 of my other hens. I now have a total of 10 eggs. My dilemma is they are laying in 3 different area's. Any help on how to start the nesting going? Please, I don't want to loose this next batch. I can send pictures to show how the coop and there area is set up if that helps?

That looks like a silky mix and I'm not even sure about the silky part. Was this a hatchery bird?

Thank you, and no at this point I am unsure? I foster for NM Largest No Kill Shelter Watermelon Mountain Ranch, and she was rescued along with one other I call her my lil rag-o-muffin because poor baby had almost no feathers. A quick funny, as winter approached us last year. I kept telling her "that if she did not grow some feathers I was gonna put a sweater on her." Well she must have understood, because less than a few weeks later she had a full body of beautiful feathers! LOL

How ever my brother bought 2 "laying hen's" Black Jerseys Giants well looks like they too are not what they said? I think they are both boys? Now I have 3 Roosters and only 4 girls. No one has any hens for me to buy or trade. And the Jerseys Boys and Rooster Dude are now making me mad! They are attacking each girl one at a time!!

All I wanted was a roster and a some chickens now I have a "Back Yard of Crazy's" LOL

Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I can gather all the eggs and put them apart. However now I am at 12 eggs. After the last ordeal with something or someone coming and taking all of her eggs last time. No one laid for days now all 4 girls are laying 1-2 each per day.
