reason number one we got chickens was for meat. So delicious. Till I got tired of plucking and hubby got burnt out on chicken.
I could eat chicken, if my family was on board 3-4x's a week easy. I grew up eating tons of chicken and it's great. A nice smoked roast or steak is always a treat. And something minimal that I didn't have to process comes in handy.
I miss my hubby hunting and bring home wild game for sure.
But I Don't ever think I'll give up raising my birds.
