We have 7 older chickens age 1.5-4.5 years old. We have new pullets that are just at POL.
There are three popular nesting boxes…two have not been layer in for at least a year. I’ve tried to darken the box (using wood stain), I’ve added a privacy “curtain” using an old feed bag….but no action until today. Not only were both sat in (straw moved around), but a small egg was laid in one!!
Fake eggs in the nest boxes, but the real one is in the right nest box, arrow pointing to it. Notice one box is dark (wood stain), one is not -wanted to see if they cared…apparently they do not.
