I have a broody silkie hen who just hatched out 3 babies. I left her in the coop tell day 18. When I brought her in the house I say that someone has layed another egg in her box, it looks like it should hatch anyday, but silkie wants out of the box, she refusing to sit on it anymore! I took her outside and gaver her some fresh air and a dust bath, and she is still stir crazy! My problem is I have two bators going and one hatching today, and one hatching in 4 days. She has pooped on her egg twice, I dont know if I should contaminate the bator, should I wash it off? Since it is close to hatch would that be ok, I think it is about day 19 or 20. I can see it moving! So I know its still alive.
Any thoughts?

Wash it gently with 100 degree water and put in the bator. The hen's hatch is over and her hormones have switched from "Broody" to "mother mode".

If you try to force it, her next step is to break the last egg to get rid of it.
