I have this lovely bird 7 months old, (Shane) and I wanted to set some of my hens eggs to carry on his genes. He is a AC mix, I am not sure what he is mixed with since he was shipped as a mix as an egg.

Below is one columbian wyandotte (Meyers) and a black chick, mom was a blue wyandotte, I thought was his chick but it is becoming barred.

I was trying to understand all day long how this could have happened, when my rooster was not barred... then I remembered...
I have this quiet rooster named "Oliver" olive egger,(5 months old) he must have just slipped in there. He has not even crowed yet, little bugger... I guess I thought I was controling things. This is Oliver's hen/wife "Mell" She is a EE frizzle/smooth mixed with BCM.

So I guess this next chick is his also...

I just set a whole bunch of eggs hoping for more from the black rooster... I guess we will see.
