We finally got around to building a proper roost for our 31 standard birds in their new coop. Ingrates, first they get in the way, then the very same adult birds won’t even use it! Thank goodness the young are more innovative and willing to embrace change. Look at those hens piled on the railroad tie in the corner while the teenagers test the comfy bed out properly.
they just dont appreciate your hard work! We added several new roosts for ours too, and where do they roost at night? The porch railing! I go out and move them after dark, thought they had if figured out after night 4, found everyone on roosts on night 5. Guess they didn't like it, all are back on the porch!
