my dh puts our young chicks in a chicken tractor in the evenings.at first they would all go back in the coop with out any trouble.the other evening when dh opened up the tractor door several strayed.dh went in to a panic.i was just coming out of the house.when floppy,our hen took off at a run.i have never seen her move so fast.she ran down to the garden.she than wove through four rows of beans and hearded those chicks into the run.and than came on out and went about her business.for the last couple of evenings
floopy will go down to the garden and help dh put the young ones up for the evening.my dh is amazed at this.floopy,

Wow! I am trying to get a chicken tractor built for my chickens and keep putting it off for fear of loathing the chore of moving them from coop to tractor and back. Wish I had a hen like that!
 
i wished i had a vidieo camera.that is the most amazing thing i have ever witness.
