Hola,
I ended up getting a female friend for my now almost two year old male goose. She's young, not sure exact age, but younger than him.
I woke up this morning to find like 50 large wing feathers on the ground. I went and watched them in their pool, and her feathers continued to just drop. When she flaps her wings, it looks like she went through a lawn mower!
I am concerned. If she is sick, what could it be?... and I am concerned my male goose (who is my baby and whom I love dearly) will get sick from her.
My boyfriend says this is normal when females are ready to make eggs, but this does not look normal. She looks ragged. My male didn't molt like this... this doesn't look like normal molting.
Can anyone please point me in the direction of what could be going on? I tried searching online, but not finding anything... maybe I am not searching correctly.
Please help! I am really concerned.

So our seasons are different... it is pretty much the same temp (between 60-80 F) but switches from 6 months of rain to 6 months of wind and sun. Not sure when breading season is!
