I recently got 5 younsters-- and they are quarantining in a stall in the barn. 2 of them are now 12 weeks old, the other 3 are 8 weeks old. They all came from a group of 30-ish being kept together. I see them preening/grooming often. And I'm seeing feathers on the floor. No one is bald, but I do see some feather damage/quills on the ones I can actually catch and inspect. Two things worth noting: 1..They are working out the pecking order but no serious fights- usually a face off with one or two hops and fierce looks, no real fights that I've observed. And they all eat nicely together, and snuggle in a pile for naps, roost smushed together at night. So I don't think the feather loss is from fighting. 2. They are inside 24x7. They get daylight and artificial light, but no sunshine. These kids are wild, I don't have anything to contain them in for outside playtime. (They tried to climb to the top of the stall front, 8' off the ground and I had to install aviary netting.)

Do these kids need Vitamin D? They are eating Klambachs organic 20% chick grower.

There is ONE that is sweet and likes me, I have not done a forensic exam but have not seen any hint of lice or mites. Everybody has a nice fluffy butt/vent area. But I could spray the stall with Permethrin if that's a good idea "just in case".

thanks in advance for your help, last time I had babies was 2016 so I'm fumbling a bit.
